Brazilian musician Cidinho Teixeira is set for a series of three night performances, every Sunday night, at New York’s Zinc Bar. The performances are scheduled for 10PM, 11:30PM and 1AM, and each week, Cidinho’s show will feature a changing roster of top local Brazilian vocalists and performers, such as the great Valtinho Anastacio (on Feb 7).

The name Cidinho Teixeira is synonymous with Brazilian Groove. Born in August 14th 1942 in Rio Grande (Rio Grande do Sul), his lifelong immersion and proficiency in many of the styles of Brazilian music have given him great insight into the elements needed to make the music “feel its roots” and “move the people”.
Cidinho has performed with some of the top Brazilian personalities including Gilberto Gil, Djavan, Leny Andrade, Gal Costa, and Simone to name a few. Most recently, he played a European tour with the legendary Johnny Alf and Alaide Costa.
