BrazilNYC’s fashion consultant Sueli Schmitt visits Beijo, in the Upper East side, and talks to up-and-coming fashion designer Julio César about his breezy and no non-sense fashion line – inspired by local trends in Brazil.

On the same video, Schmitt also interviews Beijo owner Cassia Christine and selects some of her favorite dresses (and bikinis) currently sold at the store.

Beijo

From Time OUT NY:

“Follow the sounds of Brazilian bossa nova into this small pink-and-yellow-painted boutique stocked with clothing and accessories from all over Brazil. The most popular item? You guessed it—teeny-weeny bikinis. Stocking a variety of colors and prints (like a tiny hot-pink-and-gold number for $70), Beijo offers sexy sun-loving options year-round. “These aren’t even that small,” owner Cassia Christine says. “You should see what they’re like in Brazil.” Less revealing items, including a small selection of clothes and accessories—handmade Brazilian jewelry starts at $99—are also on offer. 1474 Third Ave between 83rd and 84th Sts (212-570-1199)”
