Scheduled once per month, the brand new Samba Dance Workshop is a unique class designed to provide beginners with an introduction to the joyful art of samba dance. The July edition of the workshop will be taught by top samba dancer and teacher, Danielle Lima, and will focus on the solo samba style typical of the famous Rio de Janeiro Carnaval.

Samba New York is proud to sponsor a new Beginner Samba Dance course (both women and men are welcomed) with instructor Danielle Lima.

This series of Capoeira classes, for those new to Raízes do Brasil Capoeira, meets twice weekly for 4 weeks for a total of 8 classes. The classes focus on stretching, conditioning, the fundamental movements of Capoeira, and singing & playing Capoeira instruments. The series provides a foundation for entering the ongoing classes and an introduction to the art, music and history of Capoeira.
